Castaneda Becomes Career Scoring Leader against L.A. Harbor

TORRANCE, Calif. --- Sophomore Brandy Castaneda became the El Camino College Women's Basketball all-time leading scorer in points per game on Wednesday night in a 51-49 loss to visiting L.A. Harbor at the ECC Gym Complex.

Castaneda finished the night with 18 points, giving her 896 total points in 50 career games. Her 17.9 points per game average is now the top career mark in Warriors recorded history.

She also added eight rebounds while Teena Ponce added 13 points on 5-for-12 shooting.

For the Seahawks, Jada Turner led the way with 32 points and four steals. Kandice Gowdy added 11 points and five assists in the win.

The Warriors will wrap up the 2022-23 regular season on Friday evening against Cerritos. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m.
