TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College suffered a 62-49 South Coast Conference, South Division loss to visiting Long Beach on Wednesday night at the ECC Gym Complex.
Brandy Castaneda led the Warriors (5-16, 1-2) with 21 points but she was the only player in double figures as the team shot just 32.7 percent from the field.
For the Vikings, Jaden Sanderson led the way with 23 points with Rosemary Lazareno adding 15 points as four players scored in double figures.
The teams went back and forth in the opening quarter as the teams traded the lead a couple of times. The Warriors led by four with 3:04 left in the first but the Vikings would surpass them and they never looked back.
The Vikings doubled up the Warriors on the inside with a 28-14 edge in points in the paint.
The Warriors will return to action on Friday night as they take on L.A. Harbor on the road.
