LOS ANGELES, Calif. - El Camino College won their fourth consecutive game to open up South Coast Conference South Division play after defeating LA Southwest College 53-44 on Friday evening.
The Warriors (9-12, 4-0) dominated from the start in this game against the Cougars.
The Warriors shot 42.9% from the field (21-for-49) and held their opponents to 25.4% (16-for-63) shooting.
Taylor Hart led all scorers with 21 points on 8-for-10 shooting, five rebounds, two assists, and five steals. Ashley Nguyen also reached double figures in scoring after scoring 12 points.
Mercedes Ofoegbu led the Cougars with a 20 point, 14 rebound effort.
The Warriors led 13-5 after the first quarter. They led 26-16 at the half. They led 39-27 at the half before finishing the game up at 53-44.
