Warriors Draw Glendale in First Round of Playoffs

CCCAA SoCal Regional Brackets

Three-time defending South Coast Conference, South Division Champion El Camino College will open the California Community College Athletics Associations Southern California Regionals with a home game against Glendale on Friday night at the ECC North Gym.

The Warriors (23-6) drew the No. 8 seed in the CCCAA Southern California Regionals, which were announced late Monday night. The 2019 SCC-South co-champs draw the No. 9 seeded Vaqueros in the opening round after they won the Western State, East Division crown with a 21-5 overall record and 9-1 record in conference.

This will mark the second meeting between the teams this season. The Warriors used a strong second half to edge the Vaqueros, 62-58, in Glendale back on Dec. 29.

The Warriors (23-6, 9-1) made program history with their first ever three-peat atop the SCC and were the first to claim three straight SCC-South Division crowns since Cerritos from 2008-10. The Warriors have now won four SCC titles in the past five years and it is the sixth conference title in school history.
