Warriors Trounce L.A. Harbor in Conference Opener

TORRANCE, Calif. – El Camino College trailed for only four seconds in a 81-62 rout over L.A. Harbor in the South Coast Conference, South Division opener Wednesday night at the ECC North Gym.
Salihah Bey and Ashley Nguyen led the way for ECC, combining for 50 of the team's 81 points. Bey went for 26 points and 10 rebounds along with five assists while Nguyen posted 24 points, four assists and a game-high six steals.
Katelyn Martin led the Seahawks with 24 points and Brion Turner added 17 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
The Warriors jumped out to a 28-9 lead after one period and cruised from there. They led by as many as 31 points and dominated the game in every facet.
They will hit the road for their next conference matchup, facing Cerritos on Friday night at 7 p.m.
