Small Contingent Participates at Cal State L.A. Twilight Open

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --- A group of runners from the El Camino College track and field team headed to the Cal State L.A. Twilight Open.

Some of the highlights from the event included Dominic Britton finishing first in the 110m hurdles, topping a 12-athlete field that including community college competition as well as some lower NCAA division representation. He finished with a time of 14.51.

Anthony Brooks and Maximiliano Swoboda also posted a sixth and seventh place finish respectively in the men's triple jump. Brooks had a mark of 12.93 meters (42 feet, 5.25 inches) while Swoboda recorded a mark of 12.60 meters (41 feet, 4.25 inches)

On the women's side, Sierra Stokes had the top finish amongst ECC competitors with a fourth-place showing in the 200 meters. She posted a time 24.94, which was the second best mark in the event involving community college athletes. Maliyah Medley of Saddleback finished second overall with a time of 24.56.

Stokes also posted a sixth-place finish in the 100 meters with a time of 12.32.
