Warriors Earn Three First Place Finishes at Cerritos All-Comers

NORWALK, Calif. - The El Camino College Warriors opened the 2020 Track and Field season this past weekened at the Cerritos All-Comers Event.  

The Warriors had three first place finishes combined and multiple top-three finishes in the event.

Patrick Granger tied for first place in the men's Pole Vault competition after his mark of 14'0 (4.26 M). Patrick Gidaya came in third place with a mark of 13'6 (4.11 m).

Nygel Probherbs came in second place in the long jump competition.  Probherbs finished with a mark of 6.54 meters (21'5.5").

Chris Pitts came in fifth place in the 300 meter finals with a time of 35.40.

Augustus Eckert came in second place in the men's javelin competition with a mark of 135'11" (41.42 meters).

Sophia Abe came in first place in the women's pole vault with a mark of 9'0" (2.74 meters).

Celestina Craft came in first place in the women's high jump with a mark of 4'10" (1.47 meters).

The Warriors will head to Orange Coast College on Thursday, February 13th for a three-way meet with hosts Orange Coast College, Cuyamaca, and Palomar.
