TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College logged its fourth straight victory with a 7-1 non-conference win over Citrus on Monday afternoon at the ECC Softball Field.

The win was the Warriors' (26-11) 11th in the last 12 games and they have now recorded a winning streak of four games or more for the third time this season.

Cheyenne Navarro, Emily Esparza and Lilly Lewis each recorded multi-hit games on Monday as the offense pounded out nine hits and scored seven runs, their highest run total in a game since April 9 against East Los Angeles.

In the previous three games of their current winning streak, the Warriors scored a combined five runs but they reached that total by the end of the second inning on Monday.

Emma Garcia led off the game with a walk in a 10-pitch at-bat against Citrus starter Caitlin Kelley. Navarro then followed by smashing a double over the center fielder's head and to the wall to score Garcia easily.

After a sacrifice bunt moved Navarro to third, Cerise Cervantes hit an RBI groundout to second to put ECC up 2-0 after one.

In the second, the Warriors added three more to their lead on a sacrifice fly from Anahi Pintado and back-to-back RBI singles by Garcia and Navarro and the Warriors never looked back.

Gabriela Ortega was stellar in the circle as she scored the complete-game victory, allowing just one run on four hits with a walk and a strikeout. It was the ninth time in the last 10 games that Warriors pitching has held opponents to two runs or less.

The Warriors will return to conference play on Tuesday when they host Compton for a 3 p.m. first pitch.
