TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College swept a non-conference doubleheader against visiting Bakersfield on Saturday at the ECC Softball Field.

With the victories, the Warriors extended their winning streak to six games.

GAME ONE: WARRIORS 4, BAKERSFIELD 1

Pitching was the story in the first game as Madilyn Radeke scored the complete-game victory over her counterpart Savannah Figueroa.

Radeke allowed just one run on six hits and struck out one while making just 67 pitches to record her ninth win of the season.

Figueroa also tossed a complete game, allowing four runs, two earned, on seven hits with two strikeouts.

Both offenses were held scoreless through the first two innings but the Warriors broke through thanks to a hit batter and an infield hit to start a rally. Alyssa Tavera reached after she was hit by a pitch and then Emma Garcia laid down an excellent bunt with one out to put a pair of runners on base.

Malia Martin then followed with a great bunt of her own and third baseman Bella Estrada made a throw to an empty first base, allowing both runners to score on the throwing error.

Martin would score on an RBI single from Cerise Cervantes to give ECC a 3-0 lead and Radeke took care of the rest.

Garcia finished with two hits and a walk while Emily Esparza went 2-for-3.

GAME TWO: WARRIORS 6, BAKERSFIELD 2

The Renegades came out firing in game two as they strung together four hits in the opening inning off Warriors starter Gabriela Ortega and scored twice to take a 2-0 lead before the Warriors ever grabbed a bat.

Renegades starter Ryleigh Harrison retired the first five Warriors she faced before Lilly Lewis singled to left in the second inning. Radeke then laced a double to left field to plate Lewis all the way from first to cut the deficit in half.

In the fourth, the Warriors tied things up as Esparza singled to right-center with Radeke aboard and two outs. Radeke scored from second to tie things up and then she would come in to pitch in relief in the fifth inning after Brylee Bramhall led off the frame with a double off Ortega.

Radeke would allow an infield single in the inning but left the runners stranded to keep the game tied 2-2.

The Warriors offense then erupted in the bottom of the inning with six hits in the inning and four runs. Ashley Salas broke the tie with a double down the left-field line to score Martin and Garcia and then Lewis hammered a triple over the right fielder's head to score pinch-runner Caitlin Michaels. Radeke would cap the inning by helping her own cause with an RBI single to center to score Lewis.

The Renegades mounted one final offensive in the sixth as they led off the frame with a single and a double to put two runners in scoring position but Radeke got a pop out for the first out and then a groundout to short that kept the runners where they were. She then got Brylee Bramhall to fly out to end the threat and Radeke would retire the Renegades quietly in the seventh to complete the sweep.

The Warriors will return to action on Tuesday as they host East Los Angeles in South Coast Conference action.
