TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College used a big third inning to score a 10-2 South Coast Conference victory over L.A. Harbor in five innings on Friday afternoon at the ECC Softball Field.

The Warriors scored eight times and had seven of their 11 total hits in the third inning to erase a 2-0 deficit and use it to eventual run-rule the Seahawks.

Cheyenne Navarro went 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBI while Emily Esparza also went 2-for-3 with three RBI including a double and two runs scored. Lilly Lewis went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored in the victory.

Madilyn Radeke picked up the win in the circle as she went all five innings and allowed two runs on five hits and six walks.

The Warriors were quiet in the first two innings as they recorded just one hit and found themselves trailing 2-0 after two innings.

But the offense came alive in the third as the team recorded seven hits in the frame and plated eight runs to take control of the game.

Caitlin Michaels started things off with a leadoff single and then advanced to third on an error by the Seahawks. Navarro wasted little time in bringing her in as she belted a triple to left center to make it a 2-1 deficit. Emma Garcia would then tie the game with a single up the middle to plate Navarro.

Garcia would steal second and then go to third on a sacrifice before Cerise Cervantes walked to put runners at the corners. Radeke came in to run and immediately stole second and then Esparza singled up the middle to put the Warriors ahead 4-2. It was a lead they would not relinquish as they added four more runs in the inning and then two more in the fourth before Radeke got the last three outs in the fifth to secure the win.

The Warriors will return to action on Saturday afternoon with a road game at Cerritos scheduled for noon.
