Softball Wraps Up Home Schedule with Win over Long Beach

TORRANCE, Calif. – El Camino College concluded its regular season home schedule Tuesday afternoon with a 5-1 South Coast Conference, South Division victory over visiting Long Beach at the ECC Softball Field.
The Warriors (33-6, 19-2) capitalized on three Vikings' errors to record the victory with three of their five runs scoring thanks to the miscues.
Offensively, the Warriors were led by Diamond Lewis who went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored. Six other players recorded a hit for ECC but Lewis recorded the only two RBI for the Warriors.
Jocelyn Hernandez went the distance in the circle, allowing one unearned run on four hits. She walked one and struck out four to pick up her 15th victory of the season.
With the victory, the Warriors finish with a 16-3 record at home this season and a 10-1 record in conference games at the ECC Softball Field.
The team will wrap up the 2019 regular season on Tuesday, April 23 on the road against Cerritos. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
