Softball Remains Unbeaten in Conference with Win at Long Beach

El Camino College jumped out to a big lead and never looked back as the Warriors scored an 8-2 South Coast Conference, South Division win at Long Beach on Tuesday afternoon.

The Warriors (29-7, 10-0) are now just two wins away from recording back-to-back undefeated seasons in conference after defeating the Vikings (21-15, 4-6) on Tuesday.

Santa Iontchevska provided a lift off the bench for the offense as she went 2-for-2 with three of the team's four RBI on the day. Karla Calderon was 2-for-4 with a run scored and Kassidy Robinson was 1-for-4 with two runs scored. Eight different Warriors recorded a hit on Tuesday as the offense pounded out 10 hits against Long Beach.

Maisie Weishoff shut down the Vikings offenses as she tossed a complete-game. She allowed just two runs, one earned, on eight hits. She struck out two and did not issue a walk to earn her 11th victory of the season in the circle.

The Warriors will return to action Wednesday for their third of five games this week when they host Mount San Antonio at the ECC Softball Field. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
