TORRANCE, Calif. – Diamond Lewis had four of El Camino College's 10 hits and the Warriors needed every one as they overcame a four-run deficit to down Chaffey 13-7 Thursday afternoon at the ECC Softball Field.

Lewis had two RBI and scored four times for the Warriors (4-3), who snapped a two-game losing streak at home. Annie Adamos went 2-for-2 with two RBI and Ronni Silas was 2-for-4 with a run scored. Ashley Machado was great at the leadoff spot, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, two walks and three runs scored.

The Warriors took a quick lead on the Panthers (5-3), scoring three times in the first two innings to seize control early. They loaded the bases in the first and plated a couple of runs without the benefit of a hit.

In the second, Adamos singled to right to plate Lewis and make it 3-0 after two.

But the Panthers picked themselves up off the mat and responded with seven runs in the next two innings. They brought across four in the third and three in the fourth to put the Warriors down 7-3 in a flash.

The Warriors would not trail for long though as they erupted for seven runs in the bottom of the fourth to take the lead for good. Machado began the barrage with a two-run triple in the fourth inning. Lewis followed with a single to bring in Machado and bring the Warriors within one. Alyssa Wing would tie things up with an RBI single and then Kassidy Robinson put the Warriors back in front with sacrifice fly to put ECC up 8-7. They would add two more in the inning to make it 10-7 and they never looked back.

Clarissa Chiquete picked up the victory in four and 2/3 innings of relief for the Warriors. For the Panthers, Erika Dominguez led the way at the plate as she went 3-for-3 with four RBI and one run scored.

The Warriors busy week comes to an end on Friday as they are slated to play twice in Santa Barbara. The Warriors take on the host Vaqueros at 11 a.m. and then face Orange Coast at 1 p.m.
