Warriors Rout Tartars for 12th Straight Victory

COMPTON, Calif. – Alyssa Wing drove in three runs and Brooke Sarro picked up her 10th win of the season as El Camino College defeated El Camino College-Compton Center 11-2 in a South Coast Conference contest Thursday afternoon in Compton, Calif.
The Warriors (21-5, 4-0) collected their 12th straight win and remained unbeaten in conference play as they pounded out 12 hits against the Tartars (4-17, 1-3).
Wing blasted her second homer of the year on Thursday and Riah Nunley launched her first home run of the season as the Warriors pounded out six extra-base hits on the day. Wing finished the day 2-for-2 at the dish with a double and a home run while Raelani Camez was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and one RBI.
Brigid Antonelli and Raylauni Jones also had multi-hit games as they went 2-for-3 while Nunley drove in two RBIs.
Sarro notched her seventh complete-game of the season as she tossed five innings and allowed two runs, one earned, on six hits. She struck out two.
The Warriors will return home on Tuesday, March 28 to host L.A. Harbor at the ECC Softball Field. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
