Warrior Bats Light Up Again, Winning 16-1 At Chaffey College

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – The Warriors (4-1) traveled to Chaffey College Thursday afternoon defeating the Panthers 16-1 in 5 innings. This is the third time that the game has been called after 5 innings.

The Warriors' bats were hot and they proved their offensive capabilities again. Ronni Silas went 3-4 with 5 RBI's. Kammy Fisher went 3-4. Brigid Antonelli was 2-3 with a double and 2 walks.

Natalie Francis pitched 5 innings, giving up only one run and three hits. Francis earned her first win of the season.

Coach Jessica Rapoza commented, "Overall it was a great team win. The score was not indicative of the game. It was close until the 4th inning. I am very proud of my team for hitting he ball hard on the ground with runners on…we did a much better job of pitch selection with runners in scoring position. We are hoping to build on that discipline when we face the always talented Palomar on Saturday."

The Warriors travel to Palomar on Saturday, playing the Comets at 12:00 pm.
