TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College suffered a 17-4 South Coast Conference loss to visiting Mount San Antonio on Wednesday afternoon at the ECC Aquatics Center.

The Warriors (8-14, 1-3) were outscored 11-1 in the second half after a very competitive first half. Tyler Reed and Scott Fujiwara scored two goals apiece in the loss.

The teams were quite close in the first half as the Mounties (18-7, 3-1) took a 1-0 lead on a power play just over a minute into the match. But the teams would go back-and-forth the next few minutes with both defenses holding firm and not allowing any quality scoring chances.

The Mounties would score twice in the final 1:30 of the first to take a 3-0 lead and then a goal by Aidan Gilloly made it 4-0 before the Warriors offense finally struck back. Fujiwara opened the scoring for the Warriors on a penalty shot to make it 4-1 and then the teams would trade goals the rest of the period to go into halftime with the score 6-3 in favor of the Mounties.

In the third, the Mounties scored twice in the opening minute before Fujiwara's second goal made it 8-4 with 5:16 left in the period. It would prove to be the final time the Warriors found the back of the net, however, as the Mounties scored nine unanswered goals and shut down the ECC offense the rest of the way.

The Warriors will return to action on Friday as they head to the Dia De Los Muertos Tournament hosted by Southwestern. They will open the two-day affair against San Diego Miramar on Friday at 10 a.m.
