Men’s Volleyball Wraps Up Season with Loss at Long Beach

El Camino College dropped its final match of the season with a 3-1 (25-21, 25-15, 23-25, 25-18) decision at Long Beach on Friday night.

The Warriors forced a fourth set but could not pull off a comeback as the Vikings attacked at a .682 clip (15-0-22) in the fourth set to clinch the win and an undefeated regular season.

Matthew Donatucci led the way for ECC with 20 kills and a .395 attacking percentage but he was the only Warriors player to record double-digit kills. Connor Payne and Justin Navarro each added nine kills while Joseph Sico dished out 37 assists.

The Vikings were led by Steven Rotter's 17 kills and the team collected 12 blocks to control the game at the net.

The Warriors will now wait to find out who they will face in the CCCAA Playoffs, which will get underway on April 20.
