Warriors Score Perfect Road Trip with Wins at Antelope Valley and Moorpark

El Camino College extended its winning streak to three games this week as the Warriors scored a pair of four-set victories over Antelope Valley and Moorpark respectively.

EL CAMINO COLLEGE 3, ANTELOPE VALLEY 1

The Warriors dropped the opening set Wednesday night at Antelope Valley but rallied to take the next three including a dominant performance in the fourth set to score the win; 24-26, 25-22, 25-21, 25-10 over the Marauders.

Matthew Donatucci led the way offensively with 14 kills and also added six aces on the night. Kevin Le added 13 kills on 18 swings with just one error, good for a .667 attacking percentage. Michael Donatucci posted 18 digs and Joseph Sico recorded a double-double with 37 assists and 10 digs.

Cruz Padilla led a solid front at the net with four blocks while Troy Ellis added three with Le and Sico recording two swats apiece.

EL CAMINO COLLEGE 3, MOORPARK 1

The Warriors edged the Raiders on the road, 27-25, 18-25, 25-23, 25-23 on Friday night. Sico posted another double-double with 33 assists and 12 digs along with three blocks. Matthew Donatucci slammed down 15 kills with three aces, four digs and three blocks and Michael Donatucci added 16 digs in the victory.

The Warriors will return to action in two weeks as they open conference play against Santa Monica at the ECC South Gym on March 16. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
