Phanngam Leads Offense in Sweep over Santiago Canyon

ORANGE, Calif. – Christopher Phanngam led El Camino College with 10 kills as the Warriors scored a 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-5) road victory over Santiago Canyon Wednesday night.

Phanngam was nearly flawless for the Warriors (7-5) as he tallied 10 kills in 15 attempts with just two errors, good for a .533 attacking percentage. Max Perez chipped in with seven kills and a .462 attacking percentage while Erik Jensen added five kills on a night where the Warriors hammered down 40 kills as a team.

Malaki Tauiliili dished out 17 assists and Pedro Campos added 13 helpers on the night as the duo set the Warriors to a .400 attacking percentage on the night.

The Warriors also protected the net with seven blocks on the night and recorded 36 digs as a team to help lift ECC to its second straight win.

The Warriors return to conference action on Friday night as the No. 7 Warriors stay on the road to face No. 4 Santa Monica at 6 p.m.
