HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. - Men's Volleyball has had a tough start to their season, losing their second match in a row to Golden West College on Wednesday night. Despite taking the first set, the Warriors fell in the final three sets to give the Rustlers a 3-1 win.
The Warriors ended the first set 25-20 but the Hustlers came back to take the other three sets 25-13, 25-16, and 25-22. Middle blockers Victor Villarreal and Matt Carter both led the Warriors in kills (6). Freshman Villarreal also assisted in the Warriors' defensive efforts, leading the team in blocks with 10, while Libero Jason Carroll scored a team high of 13 digs.
Now 2-0, the Warriors continue play on Friday, February 10th at Cal Lutheran University. Game is set for 6pm.
