TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College romped to a 9-1 non-conference victory over Moorpark on Friday afternoon at the ECC Soccer Field.

The nine goals were the most scored by a Warriors team in head coach Mike Jacobson's five-year tenure at the helm of the program. It also marked the most goals scored by the Warriors since Sept. 22, 2014 when they scored a 9-0 win on the road at Victor Valley.

Seven different players scored a goal for the Warriors on Friday with Diego Garcia and Marvin Gamez each netting a pair. Bogart Roca dished out a career best four assists on the day while Alexander Salas made his season debut with a goal and an assist. Salas, Ty Kerns, Garcia, Shingo Nakano, Rinnosuke Nemoto, and Larry Valle all recorded their first goals of the season in the win.

The Warriors (3-1-0) offense was downright belligerent on Friday afternoon, blasting off 42 shots with 25 hitting the target.

For the Raiders, starting goalkeeper Jordon Ramirez made 11 saves on 15 attempts in the opening 45 minutes including four point-blank opportunities by the Warriors in the opening minutes of the match.

The Warriors will return to action on Tuesday afternoon when they host Cypress in a non-conference match with kickoff set for 1 p.m.
