Murao Leads Warriors at San Marcos

El Camino College logged another fourth-place finish Wednesday at the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Neutral No. 5 hosted by Palomar at St. Mark Country Club in San Marcos, Calif.

The Warriors finished with a collective score of 434 at the par-71 course to finish in fourth. College of the Desert collected the win with a 12-over 367 while host Palomar finished in second, 10 strokes back.

On the individual side, Kyle Murao led the Warriors on the day with a 10-over 81 to finish 15th overall. Steven Brandlin finished tied for 18th with a 12-over 83. Joshua Palmer (90), Bryce Hawkins (95) and Lucas Ursich (97) rounded out the scoring for the Warriors.

Kyoshiro Azumada of Palomar and Joseph Bogaert from College of the Desert shared medalist honors after shooting an even-par 71.

The Warriors are scheduled to return to action Monday at the College of the Canyons Invitational, which will be held at the TPC Valencia in Valencia, Calif.
