Brandlin, Ursich Lead Pace Warriors at PCAC Neutral No. 4

LONG BEACH, Calif. – El Camino College logged a fourth-place finish Monday as Steven Brandlin and Lucas Ursich posted the low scores for the Warriors at the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Neutral No. 4 hosted by ECC at El Dorado Golf Course in Long Beach, Calif.

The Warriors carded a collective 436 on Monday at the Par-72 course for their fourth straight fourth-place finish in PCAC play. Palomar posted the low score of the day with a 5-over 365 with College of the Desert (+22, 382) and Mount San Jacinto (+35, 395) rounding out the top three. Cuyamaca did not post a qualifying score with only two golfers competing.

On the individual side, Brandlin and Ursich posted the low scores for the Warriors as each carded an 11-over 83, which tied for 17th place overall. Steven Oshiro finished 21st with a 13-over 85. Kyle Murao (+16, 88), Bryce Hawkins (+25, 97) and Joshua Palmer (+26, 98) rounded out the scores for ECC.

Jacob Montes of Palomar took home medalist honors as he was the lone golfer to score in the red, carding a 1-under 71. The Comets took down four of the top five spots on the individual side with Zach Brown and Alex Rhee tying for second with an even-par 72 while Patrick Gorman finished fifth with a 2-over 74.

The Warriors will return to action Wednesday at the PCAC Neutral No. 5 hosted by Palomra at the St. Mark Country Club in San Marcos, Calif.
