Men’s Basketball Downs Golden West on the Road

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. --- El Camino College scored an 85-67 non-conference victory over Golden West on Wednesday evening at Golden West.

The win was the Warriors' first on the road this season and also marked the largest margin of victory for ECC this year.

Four players scored in double figures led by Billy Ray Barnes III with 15 points. He shot 7-for-8 from the field and snagged five rebounds in the win.

Shamar Carter added 11 points on 4-for-9 shooting while Zachary Bates and Chase Williams each added 10 points.

For the Rustlers, Trevor Vertiz led all scorers with 17 points and eight rebounds with Noel Camejo adding 16 in a losing effort.

The Warriors will return to action on Friday with another road game, this time at Barstow with a 5 p.m. tipoff.
