Lorick, Taunau’u and Fuller Named All-State

2023 3CFCA All-America, All-State and All-Region Teams

TORRANCE, Calif. --- Joshua Lorick, Jonah Taunau'u and Cohen Fuller were all named to the California Community College Football Coaches' Association All-State Team, it was announced Thursday.

The Warriors trio were named to the All-California Region III First Team with Lorick and Taunau'u making it on the offensive side while Fuller was the lone Warriors selection on defense.

All three players added to their postseason accolades as all three were named to the All-SCFA Northern League First Team on Nov. 28.

Fuller played in all 11 games for the Warriors this season. He was second on the team with 66 tackles (30 solo) and led the team with three sacks and 10 tackles for a loss. He also recorded a pick-six, forced and recovered a fumble and blocked a kick on special teams to go with two pass break-ups from the defensive line.

Lorick led the Warriors with 47 receptions and ranked third in the SCFA with 10 touchdowns. He racked up 725 receiving yards to earn his second straight All-League selection. In his two seasons with the Warriors, Lorick racked up 1,288 receiving yards on 84 catches and is now ranked as the No. 10 receiver in Warriors history in career receiving yards, passing Kayne Farquharson's 1,284 yards in 2005-06.

Tauanu'u played in 10 games for the Warriors on the offensive line and led a group that was fifth in the SCFA with an average of 216.6 rushing yards per game.
