Poulos Named SCFA Offensive Player of the Week

SCFA Week 4 Players of the Week | Players Nominated

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College quarterback Nicholas Poulos was named the Southern California Football Association's Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced Tuesday.

The sophomore out of Granite Bay, Calif. made his Warriors debut on Saturday in the Warriors' 65-29 drubbing of Moorpark, setting a new Featherstone Field record for most points since the new stadium opened in 2016.

Poulos was stellar as he went 14-of-18 for 303 yards and four touchdowns. He also added a five-yard touchdown run to his ledger in his Warriors debut. He was subbed out of the game for good with 12:20 left in the third quarter after the Warriors took a 51-17 lead.

The SCFA Players of the Week are released every Tuesday and selections based on nominations by conference coaches, sports information directors, and team statisticians.

The Warriors will return to action on Saturday night with a road contest at Bakersfield with kickoff set for 6 p.m.
