Martz Earns Defensive Player of the Week Honors

SCFA Players of the Week - Week 4 

El Camino College defensive lineman Justin Martz was named the Southern California Football Association National Division Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced Tuesday.

Martz had another stellar week in the Warriors' victory at Orange Coast College in week four. He led the team in tackles with seven and posted 1.5 sacks as the Warriors defense recorded 12 sacks on the night.

Martz currently leads the team with 26 tackles (11 solo) through the first four games of the season and also ranks first on the team with 2.5 sacks. He's posted five tackles for a loss this year in his first season with ECC.

The Warriors return home this weekend to wrap up non-conference play against Moorpark. Kickoff is set for Saturday at 1 p.m.
