Klayman’s Perfect Day Nets Player of the Week Nod

El Camino College quarterback Cole Klayman was named the National Central Conference Player of the Week, it was announced Tuesday.

Klayman was a perfect 9-for-9 passing for 206 yards and tossed three touchdowns to help lead the Warriors to a 56-2 drubbing of Moorpark at Murdock Stadium.

Along with his exploits through the air, Klayman also had four rushes for 16 yards in the victory. Klayman's feat was more impressive given he entered the game in the second quarter and two of his first three passes went for scores.

The Warriors have now outscored opponents 130-10 in the first two games of the season and were rewarded by moving up in all the rankings.

They will attempt to stay unbeaten on the young season when they host Grossmont Saturday night at Murdock Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
