Zach Kirby joins the Warriors coaching staff for his first season in 2024.

In 2023, Kirby was a pitcher for Loyola Marymount and earned Second Team All-West Coast Conference honors after posting a 5-4 overall record with a 3.84 ERA in 15 apperances with 14 starts and 82 innings pitched. He recorded 89 strikeouts with 20 wlaks and allowed hitters to bat .265 against him. 

Prio to LMU, Kirby attended East Tennessee State from 2019-22 where he led the team in ERA in consecutive seasons with a 1.95 ERA as a junior and a 3.38 ERA as a senior when he became the Friday night starter. He was the first pitcher to accomplish the feat since the 1999-2000 seasons. 

Kirby earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from ETSU in criminal justice in 2022. 

In high school, Kirby attended Damien High School in La Verne, California, and was a pitcher for head coach Andy Nieto. He complied a 6-1 record his senior season on the bump en route to earning a first-team all-baseline league selection.
