Warriors Win Streak Snapped by Chaffey

El Camino College fell behind early and never recovered as the Warriors saw their three-game winning streak snapped with a 14-1 loss to Chaffey on Saturday afternoon in Rancho Cucamonga.

The Warriors (13-10, 5-3) pitching staff was roughed up for 19 hits by the Panthers including eight doubles. The Warriors needed seven pitchers on the day with Nathan Draves providing the longest outing on the day, going three innings and allowing just two hits and a walk. He was the only Warriors pitcher to go multiple innings and not surrender a run against the Panthers.

Offensively, the Warriors managed seven hits but recorded no RBI as their only run of the day was scored courtesy of an error by the Panthers. Trevor McInerney was 2-for-3 with a walk while Diego Alarcon, Spencer Palmer, Jose Ruiz Jr., Steven Gamboa and Sean Whorley all had one hit on the day.

The Warriors will return home Tuesday to start a big three-game series against Cerritos. First pitch is set for 2:30 p.m.
