Jose Ruiz Jr. had an excellent day offensively and Kenneth Haus was solid on the mount as El Camino College trounced Rio Hondo 10-1 on Monday afternoon at The Jungle at Rio Hondo.

In a game that was postponed from Saturday due to inclement weather, the Warriors jumped out to a quick lead against the Roadrunners on Monday and never looked back. Ruiz Jr. went 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI. He was one of four Warriors with multiple hits on the day and one of three players with a home run.

Jerry Granillo went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and Spencer Long's lone hit of the day was a solo shot. Spencer Palmer posted three hits on the day while Jordan Folgers and Diego Alarcon had two hits and a double apiece.

Haus had one of his best outings of the season, going eight innings and allowing one run on five hits. He walked one and struck out five in the victory.

The Warriors will return to action Tuesday at home as they host the Roadrunners for the second game of their conference series. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
