El Camino College held a three-run lead at the halfway point of the game but Mount San Antonio scored seven unanswered runs to down the Warriors, 7-3, Thursday afternoon at Mazmanian Field.

The Warriors got multi-hit games from Jordan Folgers and Spencer Long with seven of the nine position players recording a hit on the day, but it was not enough as the Mounties scored seven times in a three-inning span to score the win.

Cody Wissler put the Warriors up 1-0 in the second inning with a sacrifice fly to left field to plate Matthew Beserra and then Jose Ruiz Jr. would come in to score on an error to give ECC a two-run cushion early.

In the fifth, Beserra belted a double to score Spencer Palmer and put the Warriors up 3-0. But that would be the last time the Warriors scored as the Mounties began their surge in the bottom half of the inning.

Ray Lemos began the surge with a two-run single to score Quinn Cotter and Dylan Jones and then Elijah Zaragosa scored on an error in right field to tie things up in the fifth.

Zaragosa broke that tie in the sixth with a two-run single and the Mounties added two more on a two-run triple from Chris Sanberg to put the game away.

The Warriors will return to action Saturday afternoon as they take on Rio Hondo on the road. First pitch is set for noon.
