Warriors Have Hit Parade in Rout at San Diego Mesa

Five different El Camino College players recorded multi-hit games Thursday afternoon as the Warriors upended San Diego Mesa 13-3.

The Warriors scored 12 of their 13 runs in a four-inning span to eradicate an early two-run deficit and cruise to their second victory of the season and first road win. Joseph Borges had a big day, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs scored. His bases-clearing triple off the center-field wall in the fifth inning broke the game open for ECC, turning a two-run lead into a five-run cushion and the Warriors never looked back.

Diego Alarcon went 2-for-5 with two runs, Jordan Folgers was 2-for-4 with one RBI and two runs scored and Spencer Long was 2-for-6 with a double, one run scored and one RBI.

Kenneth Haus picked up his first win on the mount as he allowed three runs on eight hits in five innings of work. He walked two and struck out six. Tommy Stropky and Joseph Brazil combined to shutout the Olympians in the final four innings in relief. They allowed one hit apiece and combined to strike out three, issuing just one walk.

Overall, the Warriors pounded out 14 hits, a new season high. They will look to continue their winning ways Friday afternoon as they host L.A. Mission at Warrior Field. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
