The Warriors Sweep San Bernardino In The Three Game Series

TORRANCE, Calif. – The Warriors swept San Bernardino in the three game series, defeating the Wolverines in the final game at Warrior Field.

Trevor Talpas started on the mound for the Warriors and shut down the Wolverines 1-2-3. In the bottom of the 1st, the Warriors loaded the bases and Angel Mora singled scoring the 1st run. Ryan Eastburn continued the streak, singling up the middle bringing in two more runs. The Warriors ended the 1st inning up 4-0.

Talpas continued to stay hot, allowing no runs and no hits in the top of the 2nd. In the bottom of the inning, Mora doubled extending the score by two. Following Mora's lead, Darian Sylvester doubled bringing in two more runs. The Warriors' bats continued to light up and closed out the 2nd inning up 14-0.

The Warriors held the Wolverines to another scoreless inning and in the bottom of the 3rd, Noah Barba scored on a wild pitch. The Warriors were up 15-0 heading into the 4th.

In the 4th inning, the Warriors extended the lead by two. Sylvester singled bringing in Dorn, while Barba popped up with an RBI.

In the top of the 5th, the Wolverines responded with a 2-run home run. In the bottom of the 5th, Dimitre McField singled, but a Ty Conrad hit in to a double play ending the inning.

Tommy Stropky came in to pitch for the Warriors in the top of the 6th, shutting down the Wolverines 1-2-3. In the top of the 7th, the Wolverines got on base, but Stropky pitched out of the inning. Warriors were up 17-2 leading in to the 8th.

In the top of the 8th, Sully Lyons came in to pitch, and the Wolverines had 3 up and 3 down.  In the bottom of the 8th, the Warriors loaded the bases and Ryan Siebert walked, bringing in another run. Connor Underwood singled to center extending the lead. Ricky Ramos and Jake Carr followed with RBIs, bringing the score to 21-2. Cody Wissler reached 1st on an error and the Warriors scored their 22nd run.

Lyons ended the 9th inning, 1-2-3.

The Warriors play at Cypress on Tuesday at  2 pm.
