The Warriors Take Game 2 Of The Three Game Series Against San Bernardino, 6-2

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Warriors (10-2) traveled to San Bernardino again, defeating the Wolverines, 6-2.

The Warriors led off the game with singles from Brady Dorn and Angel Mora, but were not able to score.  In the top of the 2nd, a base hit from Noah Barba brought in Darian Sylvester, putting the Warriors on the scoreboard 1-0.  In the bottom of the 3rd, Cassium Hamm pitched out of a jam with a strikeout and a fly-out, stranding a runner on 3rd, The Warriors kept the momentum going; Ty Conrad doubled bringing in Jake Carr. Mora contributed with another RBI, but bad base running ended the inning. The Warriors were up 3-0 heading in to the bottom of the 5th inning.  The Wolverines responded, loading the bases in the bottom of the 5th. Hamm pitched out the inning again with a strikeout and a groundout. In the 6th inning, Hamm struck out 4 hitters due to a batter being safe at first after a dropped third strike.

The Warriors tacked on another run in the top of the 8th, when Hunter Lewis drove in Sylvester with a single up the middle, up 4-0.

With Kenneth Haus pitching in the bottom of the 8th inning for the Warriors, the Wolverines got 2 runs back. In the top of the 9th, Carr scored on a wild pitch and then Conrad scored off of Brady Dorn's sacrifice fly. The Warriors were up 6-2 heading in to the bottom of the 9th, when Haus ended the game by getting San Bernardino 1-2-3.  The Warriors defeated the Wolverines 6-2.

Coach Nathan Fernley commented, "Hamm pitched a great game today and we had a lot of guys contribute offensively. It was a good road win."

The Warriors play Santa Barbara Community College tomorrow at home at 2pm. On Saturday, the Warriors face the San Bernardino Wolverines again for game 3 of the 3 game series. Game 3 is at El Camino at 12 pm.
