Cassius Hamm Named SoCal Pitcher of the Week

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sophomore Cassius Hamm was named SoCal Pitcher of the Week by the CCCBCA. Hamm was instrumental in the Warriors' sweep over Bakersfield College.

Originally from Redondo Beach, Calif., Hamm threw a no hitter game in the first competition against Bakersfield with 16 strikeouts. He now currently sits first in State in total strikeouts (27) and holds a 2.41 ERA.

As a sophomore, Hamm transferred to El Camino from Chico State. He appeared in 15 matches for the Warriors and earned 2016 All-SCC First Team, pitching 48 innings and 46 K. He was ranked no. 1 in conference in strikeouts with 85 and tied for second in games won (7) in 2016.

"It's been great, I want to keep riding this hot streak and hopefully the rest of the season can continue the way it's been going," commented Hamm.
