Beach Volleyball Edges Golden West, Fall to Rio Hondo

El Camino College avenged an early-season loss on Friday with a 3-2 victory over Golden West on the road.

The Warriors dropped the No. 1 and No. 2 matches against the Rustlers but rattled off wins in the final three matches to secure the victory. The No. 5 pairs match was the tightest of the contests on Friday as the duo of Kiana Takahashi and Melissa Euyoque needed overtime in both sets to put down the team of Melissa Martinez and Holly Hennesy.

The Warriors could not stay perfect on the day, however, as they suffered a 3-2 loss to Rio Hondo.
