Takahashi, Euyoque Named AVCA Pair of the Week

Kiana Takahashi and Melissa Euyoque earned the inaugural American Volleyball Coaches' Association/CollegeBeachVB.com Pair of the Week, it was announced Wednesday.

The duo went undefeated in three matches on Friday in the Warriors first day of competition in 2018. Each of the duo's wins proved pivotal in the Warriors matches as the team scored 3-2 victories in all three matches to start the season undefeated.

Takahashi and Euyoque dropped just one set on the day, defeating Georgia Grisham and Enjelica Glattli of Orange Coast in three tightly contested sets, 21-19, 17-21, 15-10.

They would go on to sweep Alicya Siler and Ariana Ugaitafa of Cypress (21-5, 21-8) and Halie Hess and Jazleigh Ortiz of MiraCosta (21-16, 21-16).

The Warriors will be back in action this weekend starting Friday at the Golden West Quad where they will face the host Rustlers and Fullerton College.
