Bio

Edgar Ortiz joined the El Camino College Athletics Department as an athletic trainer in the Winter of 2022.  

Born and raised in Compton, Ortiz went to St. John Bosco High School. He completed his Bachelors of Science degree in Athletic Training at California State University, Fullerton and received his Board of Certification in 2014. He went on to complete his Masters of Science degree in Rehabilitation Science at California University of Pennsylvania.  

Prior to joining ECC, Ortiz worked as an athletic trainer at UCLA as well as with the Las Vegas Raiders.  

In his spare time, Ortiz enjoys spending time with his wife and their German shepherd. They currently reside is Los Angeles, California.
